Violence ahead

Today was the last day of school for Chicago Public Schools. Every single year, this is one of the most violent weekends of the year, third to Memorial Day and the Fourth of July.

This weekend we have Patrick and Alex as cameramen, and Joanna as my co-host.

I will not be wearing a suit because of the heat, I will be wearing a collared shirt and khaki pants.

I have made the crew aware of the potential for an extra busy weekend and they’re ready.

I had a Lou Malnati’s deep dish pizza tonight to prepare my body.

I think the reason there’s so much violence on this weekend is because the teens don’t have anything to do in their neighborhoods, all the fun stuff is downtown. Local elected officials need to start building and scheduling entertainment in the neighborhoods most affected by gun violence so that everyone has something to do that doesn’t involve fighting.
