Some TikTok news
As we wrap up the Chicago Crime show, this newsletter is going to transition into being a more general Marcus DiPaola newsletter. Here’s your first Marcus update:
After consistently replacing my $40 Audio-Technica microphone every six months for five years, I have invested in a Shure MV7+ for my TikTok videos. There is an image of the new Shure mic at the end of this email.
I really liked the sound of my AT microphone, which is why I kept buying it, but I’ve started to get tired of my mic failing and being unable to do TikToks for two days while waiting for my new microphone to arrive.
The Shure MV7+ is expected to last for five years, and my testing has revealed it sounds better than my previous microphone, and it’s also able to suppress noise from the air conditioning unit in my apartment, which is even better. I expect to post my first TikTok with it as soon as there is news.
In case you haven’t noticed, the only news for the past couple of days has been the Epstein files and Trump. I’m staying away from that story because it’s too hard to figure out what’s true and what’s not true, and I don’t want something I report now to later be found untrue. I’m hoping for some less annoying news to come out tomorrow so I can post with my new microphone.
