Episode 6 wraps
This episode was unique because both of my cameraman were temporary replacements, and the co-host is already semi-famous and has been an actor on NBC's show Chicago Med and Chicago Fire.
On day one of shooting, absolutely nothing happened from our start at 2 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., and then at 9:30 p.m. all hell broke loose. We drove down to the south side to get a shooting, and arrived at the same time as the police. Then while shooting at that scene, we noticed a second scene one block away.
At that second scene, we captured a group of women grieving for their dead 20-year-old friend who had been shot in the head. There were a lot of tears.
We shot some b-roll then scooted off to the opposite side of the scene, where we captured the body, which we will not publish images of.
I don't like showing the body for a couple reasons, but the big one is because it turns the work pornographic, and that's disrespectful to the person that died.
I'm sure one day I will need to publish images of a body, when it's absolutely critical to telling a truthful story, but today is not that day.
Day one also included the creation of an AI song using Suno for the two shooters and Gigi, my co-host. Everyone loved their song.
On day two (today), we went out to a shooting scene at a laundromat where three people were shot. One of them died, The other two are OK. There was also a 6-year-old boy involved in the shooting, but he wasn't shot, he just got a nasty cut from having glass explode near him. He did have to go to the hospital, but will survive.
