Crisis averted

Hi,

Last newsletter I told you about Danny ghosting me, despite having confirmed and reconfirmed his availability several times.

Almost immediately after sending that newsletter out, my second shooter emailed me to say he can’t do the episode for the 23rd or the episode for the 30th.

So at that point I was out a shooter and a co-host. The episode couldn’t have gone ahead without both of those together.

That night, I sent a message to another shooter I know, and successfully got him on board to shoot this upcoming weekend. Problem one solved.

This morning, I made a video on TikTok asking people to apply to join me on-camera as a co-host for the 23rd and 24th. That video is at the end of this newsletter if you’re curious.

Within an hour of that video going up, I had an email from Danny, telling me he’d lost his phone and giving me a new number to text him on. I sent Danny the instructions for this upcoming weekend and he is good to go. I took down the video. Problem two solved.

The only problem remaining is I need a second shooter for the weekend of the 30th. But I’m going to ask the guy I got for the 23rd if he’s available after we’re done shooting our first episode.

There’s another a longer-term problem I have, I need a co-host for July 11 & 12, and 18 & 19. I did have someone comment on one of my newsletter posts saying they’re available, so I’m going to check in with them to see if they can fill one of those slots.

For now, we’re good though. Can’t wait to get this thing shot and edited so I can show you.
